Basic composition of this saree is Pure Silk in the warp and 120 count finest and purest linen in the weft.
Linen is a very breathable fabric which keeps you fresh and refreshed even in hot and humid weather. It is a cool fibre with higher conductivity which is very suitable for tropical and sub- tropical climate. It is a textile made from the fibres of the flax plant which is very strong, absorbent and dries faster than cotton.
Linen has various thread count like 60, 80, 100 and 120. Finer the linen, thread count increases. This saree is made of the finest 120 count linen and Pure Silk.
Jamdani is a hand loom woven fabric made of cotton, which was historically referred to as muslin. The Jamdani weaving tradition is of Bengali origin. It is one of the most time and labor-intensive forms of hand loom weaving, and is considered one of the finest varieties of muslin,[6] and the most artistic textile of Bangladeshi weavers. Traditionally woven around Dhaka and created on the loom brocade, jamdani is rich in motifs.
