These prints are made of around 300 years old age hand block printing technique, which involves intense labour job. These detailed, intricate designs are hand printed, dipping wooden blocks in natural vegetable dyes using resist and direct printing technique. The dyes used for hand block printing are made of natural minerals and metals like iron, henna, flowers and laves, mud, indigo and harda etc. As the dyes are derived from natural vegetable dyes, different season, climate and water type, all have effect on the natural dyes.
